BOROFLOAT®33 Optical Windows

BOROFLOAT®33 optical windows are durable, versatile, and less costly than fused silica, Viosil, or N-BK7 windows. They are used in a wide variety of applications from the visible to the NIR and offer the following advantages:

  • A low coefficient of thermal expansion offering outstanding thermal resistance
  • Excellent mechanical strength
  • Exceptional chemical and stain resistance
  • Superior transmission in the VIS to the NIR spectrum
  • Low dispersion

Due to the above properties, BOROFLOAT®33 windows can be used to fabricate both optical windows and optical mirrors. It is frequently selected for its low cost, durability, and availability.
